Job Title: Warehouse Associate


*LOCAL APPLICANTS ONLY*

** $500 sign-on bonus ($250 paid at 3 months of employment & $250 paid at 6 months of employment) **

PAY
This position pays $16.00 per hour. 2nd shift is also paid an additional $.50 shift differential.

SHIFT
1st shift (5:00am – 1:30pm ~ hours will vary)
2nd shift (1:30pm – 10:00pm ~ hours will vary)

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for operating fork lift and pallet jacks to load and unload products from trailers for storage and handling. Receive, review, count, and store products in designated areas. Maintain proper product rotation for freshness, and verify inventory counts daily. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
– Operate electric tow motors, stand-up forklifts, and pallet jacks
– Load/unload trucks, and accurately complete tally sheets and BOLs
– Check product quality of incoming freight and perform pre-shipment reviews on outgoing shipments
– Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies
– Handle incoming and outgoing FedEx shipments
– Maintain accurate receiving records and inventory control and cycle counts
– Maintain cleanliness of work area
– Follow all plant safety regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices
– Required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned

WORK ENVIRONMENT
– Work in varied temperature environments (0-50 deg.) COLD ENVIRONMENT
– Heavy lifting required, and must be able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted
– Continuous movement, and must be able to stand for long periods of time

Qualifications


– Must meet expectations on Safety, Attendance, Teamwork, Quality, and Productivity metrics
– Ability to use a computer add, subtract, multiply, and divide – High level of analytical aptitude
– Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals – Attention to the details
– Must be able to follow instructions and communicate clearly with coworkers
– Visual, auditory, and hand dexterity
– Full body mobility
– Adequate reading/language, writing, and math skills


Education and Experience


– High School Diploma or equivalent
– Food processing / handling experience preferred / CDL is a plus
